Default Who Will Win the 2018 Masters?

ESPN predictions about who will win the 2018 Masters

Who do you think will get the Green Jacket this year?

I pick Rory McIlroy to win the 2018 Masters.

I'll take Jason Day at 20-1 and Rahm at 28-1.

This is like the Dayton 500. You pick the right winner you can really make some good loot.

Hopefully they give adequate coverage to the most likely and the first page of the leader board.

And not have to listen to the school girl like fawning announcers and endless hopeful talk, and how he did it 10 years ago coverage of you know who.

I would like to see Phil M. on the first page mixing it up with the up with the current greats in golf.

Would love to see Woods contend and win his 4 Green Jacket in a playoff with Day, Phil and Watson! The rating would be over the top, a comeback completed and the golf season would be thrown into chaos. Hopefully, the weather cooperates and this is a Masters to remember.

Is it really a sport if Phil can win the Masters at this point though? I mean he is 47 years old and not even fit. There should be some parameters for things to be considered sport as opposed to events.

Phil's job requires him to walk a 7000+ yard course 4 consecutive days, strike a golf ball 72 or fewer times each day, meet media and sponsor obligations. You have to be physically and mentally fit to complete that task. Now does he physically look like the 20-year-old players, no but those players have not achieved what Phil and other golfers have in this game.
How cool is it that a 50 yr old professional golfer can compete with a 20 yr old player or a golfer with a 16 handicap can compete with an 8 handicap golfer. That's 1 of the elements which makes golf a sport like no other.

So you consider John Daley to be an athlete then? And be physically fit??? Again, nice guy but I read his book. He doesn't consider HIMSELF to be an athlete!

If you consider golf to be a sport, people that play it are by definition athletes..

"a person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise."

He's the last person I'd ask.

What about the reverse? The ballerina Misty Copeland is most certainly an athlete. But is ballet a sport? I'm just saying some activities that are difficult and require dexterity may not actually be sports. Surely a top level concert pianist or violinist would be considered an athlete by the criteria set for Mick in the previous pages post....

Anybody but Tiger! Might be the best golfer ever but also one of the worst person ever, not just as a husband and father, which is well documented but as a person. So far haven’t been able to watch none of the coverage because of the Tiger obsession, hopefully he will miss the cut so they will move on and will be able to watch again.
