Default Black Lab Found on San Marino in Rio Grande Area

This photo is of a similar looking lab. The found lab had a white flea collar and no i.d. Please notify RDOG if you have any information regarding the owners of this beautiful dog.

Default Hope he finds his people soon.

Does anyone ever find cats? I never saw a cat out in the year we have owned. I love them too.

Default Cats

I saw 2 one evening recently while walking Teddy. I did a "U" turn once I saw them. Also yesterday morning, a gentleman that was walking 2 Yorkies told me that he'd allegedly seen a Bobcat in the neighborhood.

I hope that by now they've found the owners of the black lab.

People who live on San Marino Drive told me they saw a bobcat in the "enviornmentally protected" area behind their homes.

GG, sadly, I've seen several feral cats living on the golf course behind our Villa.

Default Update On Black Lab

Unfortunately, we have not been able to unite the lab with its owners as of today, Monday, Aug. 17th. The dog is in safe keeping for a few days, but we will have to deliver it to Animal Control of Sumter County if it is not retrieved by Wednesday, Aug. 19th. If anyone is interested in adopting this little girl please contact me. Karen Tynes, RDOG

Karen, could you post a picture of the Lab? Perhaps it will create more interest in an adoption. Thankyou.

I would love to see a pic of this black lab! Is she available for adoption now, or do the owners have until the 19th to claim her?

Default Margarita Was Reunited

Thank you all, again, for your support in locating the owner of Margarita. We had the dog scanned this morning, found the owners and reunited the dog with them. A LESSON TO BE LEARNED: Never leave your pets in the car, not even for a minute. Not only is it a felony (you will be arrested) but the pet's chances of living are about gone.

Margarita knew having the windows of her owner's truck only open half was was not enough air for her and she jumped out. We know you love your animals and want them to be with you whenever the opportunity presents itself, but this is a lesson of what the Florida heat will do to your beloved pet.

Im not sure Im happy about the reunion of the Lab and its owner! I hope in the future the owner will have better sense then to leave a dog in the car in the summer heat! :mad
