Default Interesting reading on rentals

If you are looking for a rental, or renting your home here is some very interesting reading from Seniors vs. Crime Region 4

Always do your due diligence! It pays to be a smart renter or landlord.

When I click on your link (facebook) it tells me link not found. Can you post the url? Or the website address? I am a Facebook person, but still couldn't open it? Thanks. Rae

This scam (renting property which doesn't belong to you, collecting the deposits and leaving the renters out cold) has been around for a long, long time -- even before the internet. There's nothing wrong with renting directly from a homeowner, but some due diligence is wise. Have a friend check the property to make sure it isn't for sale. Check county records that the lessor is in fact the homeowner. Don't use Craigslist here. Way too many scammers for almost everything on the Ocala/Orlando/Tampa sites.
