Got the following pm from the owner

Thank you so much for your kind words about my my restaurant It means so very much to us when someone takes time out of their day to say something nice.
We try so hard everyday to make everyone happy and even if just one out if 1000 are upset it weighs on our minds and we hope to have the chance to fix it because one thing I've always learned from my father is that people have choices and when they chose to come to your restaurant you should do your best to thank them

Thank you again
Christopher Kitrinos
Athens ny restaurant

That is the attitude that will continue to make Athens a go to restaurant for us. Reprinted with permission from Mr. Kitrinos:

Sorry to hear about your bad experience I have never had a bad experience at Athen's. Waitresses and Waiter is outstanding always accommodating.. Food has been excellent, although I have never had the French toast. Always have been offered a 2and and even 3rd cup of coffee.
If you were that upset about the service and breakfast you should have spoken to the manager...

On our visit to TV we had a wonderful experience at Athens. I think you can have a singular bad experience at any establishment. Based on all of the positive comments, you might want to give them another try in the future.

Okay, Athens fans, I concede! This morning I received, from Athens' owner, a very nice reply to my post about a bad experience. Any restaurateur who personally responds to a customer complaint and takes steps to correct attitude/service problems is aces high and deserves return business. He'll have mine. See you at Athens!

Chris the owner is a very responsible owner and diligently works hard to provide the very best. His response to Old Coach is a common practice.
This is one of the best run restaurants providing excellent service and quality food here in The Villages. We need more restaurants like it. Prices are very reasonable

Chris my compliments.

Very appropriate post, BarryRX.

Never a good idea to aggravate the person who will be serving your food.

After reading all these posts the consensus seems to be an overwhelming approval of Athens. As I said in post #3, it is our favorite for breakfast and would love to see them open another in Colony or Brownwood.

Wonder why the owner took the time to send a message to someone who is pleased with the restaurant but ignores the one who got shoddy treatment?

My bf and I eat at Athens at least once a week and sometimes more, always great food and great service. Never a complaint. I have been to Greece and traveled a lot. It takes a lot to please me and Athens always goes above and beyond. I can't believe any one would have a bad experience but as I was once told there are people who would complain about the food and service at The Last Supper.

Love your last sentence. We will definitely try this Greek restaurant on our next visit.
