Default crab cakes??

My daughter will be here for a week, from Utah, and wants to try crab cakes for the first time. where is the best c. cakes in the Villages?? If we were back in VA I would know. Thanks, Bill

I had very good crab cakes at City Fire, Lake Sumter Landing. If I recall they are listed under appetizers/starters, but it was enough for a meal.

Crab cakes deserve a phone call before you order. If you really want good ones, you should call ahead and make sure they are made fresh. Many restaurants today use frozen crab cakes, which are OK, but if you really want them to be special, they need to be fresh and hand formed. I'm reasonably certain that Bonefish would have fresh ones, but I'd call first.
