You might be disappointed. In midtown Manhattan there are 2-3 pizza shops per block, many operated by Albanians who have discovered all of the shortcuts. You can still find excellent pizza in NYC but you have to be selective because it ain't what it used to be IMHO.

I like the Sammy at Sammy Joe's, I just wish they cooked the bottom of their pizza more. Last July I went up to Belleview for their Pizza Wars. I really liked the pizza from Pasta Faire.

I grew up in the Bronx. I moved here two months ago from Virginia (no good pizza there) and found the best pizza at Gio's Deli and Giovanni's (same owners) and NYPD.

The family that owns Gio's/Giovanni's are from Naples which is where my family is from.

Wow, if any one thinks the pizza @ Mallory is the best in TV, gotta be clueless--not even in the top 5-thy;re nothing but glorified bar pies

Sad to say but the best pizza in The Villages is in the frozen foods section of your local grocery store. The Villages Florida

Ditto that or make your own from scratch, have not eaten a restaurant pizza in TV in 4+ years--gave every place a shot --very disappointing

I like Home Run Pizzas but Screamin Sicilian is better. I Like Sammy Joes pies as well.

Detroit Pizza!! Detroit is a pizza town, Dominoes, Little Caeser's, Hungry Howies, Jets (delicious)...all of these started in Detroit...but they aren't the best one's there. Anyone from that area knows Buddy's and Shields!

Stavros in Leesburg on Hwy 27. Don't go to the first Stavros located on 441, but the next one on the right about 2-3 miles down the road. Excellent and worth the drive...

Sammy Joe's is also my favorite. I have a VA appt tomorrow morning, that's where I'll be having lunch.

Had some NYPD pizza last night and this afternoon and it is still quite good. Had not had any for a year or so. We usually just get
Digiorno. Best Frozen Pizza: It's Not Delivery. It's DiGiorno Pizza

We have done further experimentation and still stick with the two mentioned above. Florida Pizza is basically Cardboard with Ketchup.
