Default Cane Garden Kudo's

The Cane Garden has added some new entrees to their diner menu--I had the cod & my wife had the asian bowl--both were quite good- its great to see a restaurant that ventures from the cookie cutter menu items

cod can be sort of bland. Like it with butter and garlic. Like it breaded either Italian breading or Panko bread crumbs. also like it with fresh tomatoes and garlic and baked in the oven

I'm hungry

Garlic Lemon Cod.

1lb cod filet cut into 3 pieces
1/4 cup EVOO ( extra virgin olive oil)
1 1/2 tbs lemon juice, preferably from a lemon, not a bottle
2 cloves garlic ( or more to taste) crushed or minced
kosher salt
fresh grind black pepper

Blend EVOO, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Put cod in ziplock bag and pour blended ingredients onto fish. Massage so fish is coated and put in refrigerator for 3-4 hours, turning bag over halfway through.

Broil or grill until fish is opaque and flakes easily. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Fish will continue to cook after you remove it from the heat.

Serve with your choice of sides. Enjoy!

Cane has the best facility manager in The Villages, Dave Williams. They’ll always be great and ahead of the curve with a leader like him!

Have a dinner date soon there. What do people recommend to some one is not a big fish fan unless it has no fishy taste.

Steak, chicken, or pork. Or tofu for a non meat option. Fish all tastes fishy, different types just have a different fishy flavor. I love all fish, but it's not for everyone.

I like their pizza. Also, Tuesday prime rib is quite good.
