Ok, I'm a bit pedantic, proven by using the word pedantic. Our last time at Cane a manager came by the table to chat, but not in a brat way. I sort of mentioned that whatever printer they used had made several spelling errors on the new menu involving making plurals [which are not plural's].
I was told the chef wrote up the new menu and replied that is fine; but, the printer should have caught the mistakes [not mistake's]. But I was then told that the chef also printed the menus. Happy apostrophe hunting.

Superlatives seem to flow very easy--I really want to know what makes breakfast food exceptional--I would only any restaurant 5 stars if it was exceptional--

Wow! Really? It was one of your favorite places..... and you're not going to go again because of what someone else said about it. If you come back to visit..... you better pack a lunch!

And if these new owners really kill it like the last owner did at Hacienda, it will end up closed just like Hacienda

Somebody posted on Nextdoor that Cane Garden substantially changed their happy hour a couple weeks ago. Has anybody else noticed ?

The happy hour is NOW cast in stone--no leeway for the start @ 3:00 PM, previous owners & bar persons gave 10-15 minutes leeway--until the food quality improves , adios

The first time we went to Cane Garden after the change in ownership, we were disappointed, but not to the extent that we would never return. Since then, we have returned several times and were not disappointed. We have been there for both breakfast and dinner. We still find our breakfast favorites still on the menu and just as good. Similarly, what we usually prefer on the dinner menu is still good and the salads are great. The addition of soup or salad to entrees is a welcome no added cost addition. We will continue eating there.

If you trust what you read on TOTV, why would you consider coming back at all?

Guess no one who posts here as a clue to what the Cane used to be and currently is=-- go there and waste you're own $$ and let us know if your $$ was well spent !!

We just had lunch there today after golf. We all enjoyed it just fine. Not a waste at all. Sorry to disappoint, but we will go back.

Sometimes I wonder if people give bad reviews hoping it won't be so crowded for them next time.

Went to Cane Garden tonight with a large group. Could not have asked for better food and service. Quick turnaround between the time when the waiter took our orders and when the soups/salads salads were delivered. Just a few minutes later the main courses came out. With a large group sometimes the meals do not all come out together or some not hot. Not in this case. Kudos to our waiter!

Agreed the quality has gone down. Had the linguine with shrimp and scallops special. It was dry and tasteless. However the breakfast remains tasty
