Default On any given day..........

Reading these restaurant posts almost daily brings me to the conclusion that any of our local eating establishments will put out a bad meal or service at one time or another.I think we have eaten at most of them. For ten or 15 bucks we're OK with an occasional flop... plenty to choose from.

Absolutely. I dine out most nights and one night they are good, some nights better, rarely really awful. A lot of variables, but you know they are all trying. In season, when it is busy, they are trying to accommodate the mobs of people waiting. Good time to fire up the crock pot or the backyard grill. That or be patient and forgiving. Most nights, even in season, I am happy someone is serving me and I don't have to plan it, cook it, or clean up after it.

WE've had the best luck as far as quality, taste, consistency, at Carrabas and Bonefish. The country clubs, sometimes good, sometimes not.

And we've been disappointed at Carrabas and Bonefish. Go figure...

Eating at home has it's ups and downs too.... for instance at Chez Gracie, sometimes good food, sometimes not so good and nothing is as cheap and fresh as the help.

Cloth napkins occasionally and the cook sings....badly.

Went to Vic Embers for the first time last night. It was not a very busy night...quite quiet actually.
Food and service were outstanding. I was impressed with the breadth and variety of the menu.

We were greeted and seated by Vic himself. He came over as we were leaving to say thank you on our way out.

The furnishings seemed a little "tired" however it was clean and the sharp service made that non significant.

The appetizers and food were excellent. Waiters in black with sharp white shirts and black ties. All very cordial and pleasant.

Some of our (TV) would do well to go there and take a lesson or two or three.

We will be going back to Vic's again sonnet than later.
