Try Groveland and Clermont. Check with The Villages Gourmet Club website for restaurants in South Lake County. We enjoy the 801 City Grill in downtown Clermont.

If you're going to take 441 to get to Orlando, there are a bunch of places right on 441 in or near Mt. Dora/Eustis area that would be considered casual dining. I think there's a Chili's, Cracker Barrel, Oakwood Grill, Denny's, a Japanese Steak house (which I have eaten at and it was great). Hope this helps.

If you are taking the turnpike, then stop in Winter Garden. Great restaurant in a quaint Southern style downtown area. Al Fresco is the restaurant and it serves fresh food which is the best I have found in the area! You might drive a little more than half way but the food and atmosphere will be well worth it! Less than an hour away.

Personally, unless you wanted to eat in Mt Dora or thereabout I would NEVER take 441 to Orlando!
