Chinese food & delivers
Does anyone know a good Chinese restaurant that delivers to TV?

I'd say "no" to both parts.

If you can't pickup an order yourself, you could try using "Settle in Style" if you really want Chinese food. $15 pickup and delivery fee - no tips accepted. Their ad should be on the left if you scroll down!

You're welcome! One thing I forgot to mention is that we had tried them, the delivery took a little longer than is usual for delivering restaurants, but was timely considering they need to travel to the restaurant as opposed to deliveries directly made by the restaurants themselves. BTW, the woman did refuse an additional tip when I tried to give her one.

Now all you need to do is find some "good" Chinese. I've found the one in Colony is okay and better than any other in TV, but not "good." Okay, I'm spoiled since Chinatown in SF was walking distance from my office.

We've gotten food from China Gourmet in Colony Plaza a number of times and on a scale of 1-10 we'd give it a 7 or 8, but I wouldn't charactorize it as not good! Maybe compared to SF's Chinatown it is, but I've never had Chinatown to compare! As for their online menu, well that's another story. Informative but not pretty!

I agree that China Gourmet is the best around here, but, as I said, I got spoiled. I would love to find a good dim sum restaurant and a true Hunan, not just a restaurant that makes a dish spicy with red peppers and calls it Hunan. I'd give CG a 5.

I haven't found anything that resembles Chinese food in Florida yet and have been here 8 years, coming from Chicago where no matter where you lived the Chinese food was great I wait to go back home for good Chinese as I know it
Wonderful Asian food though at Bamboo Bistro. A little pricey but worth it. |

I agree completely. If you have lived in or near cities with a significant Chinese population (Boston, NY, San Fran, Chicago, Honolulu), then you have had the opportunity to have what I will call "real" Chinese food. This can be comparable in quality to a meal at Lopez. What we have at Colony is more Chinese "fast food" - and while it is better than other restaurants around, it is not what you would find in a restaurant in those cities primarily frequented by Chinese diners. An example might be comparing Five Guy's to Burger King - both are fast food places, but one is much better. k

There is good Chinese food in Miami. But that's a little too far for takeout.
