I've been to Flippers twice a week since they opened and I think their prices are reasonable, especially the lunch-time pizza which includes a drink. Everybody'd taste in pizza is different but I think they are as good (or better) then most of the other pizza stores. Service has been excellent.

So very true! My wife just loves Papa John's Pizza! Me? I like a mom and pop place that makes their own ... everything! Lost art.

cici's cannot even pretend to be a pizza place; just plain bad, bad. and noisy, and crowded with some folks who seem to be more at home eating out of a trough.

as of yet we have not found any decent pizza near here, or anywhere outside of the philadelphia area. (or new york...or chicago)

Come on Travel Guy, give Flippers a shot. I think you'll find a good pizza that can compare. I'm a Jersey guy and I'm thrilled with their pies.

Default Vote for Flippers

We went to Flippers today for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The service was really good, pizza fresh and price was right! We will be returning.

If you're concerned about eating healthily you shouldn't be eating pizza. That's kind of like buying a Hummer and complaining about the poor gas mileage.

I could eat everyday at for a almost 10 days for what it costs me to have one pizza at flippers... JUST THE FACTS,, in dollars in cents!
just one Americans opinion!
I have gone back to Flippers. I have not gone back to CICI's.

Love Cici's when putting the feed bag on. Flippers? Well we havn't found the right combo of crust and toppings....being from the Philly area and exposed to some great NY pizza. NYPD pizza in Southern Trace coming soon may be our last shot at a real NY slice of heaven.....

We went to Flippers about two weeks after they opened for lunch. We arrived at noon and there were no open tables so we had to stand just inside the front door. Eventually there were about 5 couples waiting behind us, all squeezed together trying to stay out of the way. With the concrete floor the place sounded like a high school cafeteria.

At 12:20 we got a table and they took our order right away, two personal pizzas. At 12:40 the couple sitting next to us, who arrived later, got their pizza. At 12:45 I tracked down my waitress and complained. About two minutes later our pizzas were served.

A man who was in management came over and apologized and gave us coupons for free pizzas in the future. We went home after eating and soon thereafter I became very sick, my stomach was in pain. We have since thrown away the coupons and won't return.

We tried CiCi's last year, and weren't crazy about their pizza either. What was really unusual was the large poker table at the end of the room and about 15 people who looked like they came out of Deliverance sitting around the table playing cards. What's with that?

We found that Dominoes delivers to our address, they delivered two pizzas 22 minutes after calling last time. My wife and I both love their thin crust pizza and that's what we'll be eating.

If I was sick when I went, then I wouldn't have felt like eating out. If you eat at a restaurant and hour later you have bad diarrhea, I feel safe in saying it was caused by the food I just ate. Most people know their own bodies and don't make medical assumptions over the internet of someone they have never met. Real Classy by You!!

Because no one else reported being sick or diarrhea in a review column on a message board about a restaurant that's been open maybe two months is good scientific reasoning. If so, then why do you need to SHOUT IT OUT!! I hope you enjoy Flippers and eat there every week for the rest of your life, they're been one less table that's for sure.

BTW, you're not my Pal and I didn't get anything before eating there because I don't eat breakfast. I workout 90 minutes every morning and lunch is my first meal of the day. Blast a place I don't know, I know I ate there and I got sick an hour later, enjoy your pizza.

This thread has played itself out. Its origin is suspect. There are other threads about Flippers and other named restaurants.
