Default Coldstone or Maggie Moo's?

Anybody know if the Coldstone Creamery just re-located or pulled out permanently from the strip mall up on 441 north of Wal-Mart? Stopped by last week and store was closed. Looked like it was recently closed. My 'shorter half' is threatening to force me to drive to Orlando for her weekly 'fix' at Maggie Moo's. Are there any Coldstone's or Maggie's closer than Orlando?

Cool

They've been closed for 2 years now - April of 2008.
Has your friend tried other ice cream stores in the Villages? Many of them make their ice cream fresh on site such as Bruster's or even Ollie's.

Default gotta be maggie or coldstone

When I refer to my 'shorter half' I'm referring to 'my first wife' of course. (keeps her on her toes) If I don't get her to maggies or coldstone, she won't be very friendly any more. Actually she says she really doesn't like ice cream or soft-serve or custard but loves to mix in the different add-ins they have. I had seen the website for Maggies, Mel, (Thanks for the info) and knew they had one in Orlando. I was hoping that they had added one closer. I don't believe coldstone was too expensive for TV but was just too inconvenient. Oh well, Orlando is still closer than north side of Chicago. BTW Patty, where are Bruster's and Ollie's located? Not familiar with either one.

Both are located in the Villages - Bruster's is in Mulberry Grove Plaza on the Northern end and Ollies is in the Spanish Plaines Plaza - across from Lowe's.
I know that Bruster's has the candies (snicker's, m&m's , butterfingers, etc) as I add them.

What about good ole Haagen Das in Sumter Landing? They are expensive, but great ice cream. Also, in Ambrosia in Sumter Landing, they offer soft ice cream cones for $3.00 a pop. Only 2 flavors but very refreshing on a hot summer's eve.
