Need more Health Inspectors
The best thing our County Commissioners could do for the restaurants and us taxpayers is to increase the budget to hire additional health inspectors. Good health is important to us all.

Happened to us 6 months ago at the Culver’s on 466. Perhaps the staff all moved to 466a. Not going to either.

Training
It’s more likely the lack of training. My Dad was very “strict” with my chores. “Son, any job worth doing, is worth doing well.” Just from observing behavior it’s not the same today, with a few exceptions. The “everybody gets a trophy” isn’t the same as any job worth doing is worth doing well.

Report it !
The last inspection of Culver's on Sundance Trail was due to a complaint way back on 2/13/23. Nothing since then.
Anyone suspecting food poisoning should report it here: Licensing Portal - Complaint Wizard Or you can call: 850-245-4444 I am very surprised that the hospital did not call it in. Report all sickness after dining out. Save others from a similar mishap. Usually the health inspector shows up unannounced the very next day. Skip PRINT/SAVE this post, you may need it someday! This from the Mayo Clinic:
Symptoms usually start within hours or several days of eating the food. Most people have mild illness and get better without treatment. Sometimes food poisoning causes severe illness or complications. TIMING: Listeria (bacterium) 9 to 48 hours for digestive disease. 1 to 4 weeks for body-wide disease. Skip |

NOTE: The OP did not say when they began to feel ill, only that they went to the ER four days after eating at the restaurant.

Been going to 466A since it opened about once a week. Seems cleaner than the 466 location. Doesn't get that crowded anymore since summer is here. It's a pity that the Burger-Fi next door is probably not happening.

Can happen anywhere, just takes one employee not washing their hands or being otherwise careless.

It sure does.
Many times, lack of help cuts corners on food safety. Their training periods are shorter. Their over worked and doing the job of 4. Because of all the above, most don't know what proper hygiene is |

It’s not just Culver’s, my wife and I went out for ice cream one afternoon last weekend and we both wound up spending the better part of that evening and night on the toilet. She had pistachio in a waffle cone and I had a bowl of sugar free raspberry swirl, so it must have been the employee scooping the ice cream, not the ice cream itself?

Was in the Philippines maybe 10 years ago, was sick as a dog for a week, after a week never thought it could be food poisoning. After a number of test, they confirmed, it was food poisoning. Never imagined it could last that long.
