Breakfast cereals are allowed to contain a certain percentage of mice and rat droppings.

Remind me to stop eating it than.

I think Darrell's has 13 locations, 2 had an issue which was corrected in 24 hours. They run a good operation and will continue to have my business.

They're all dirty at one time or another. If we went into any of their kitchens, we would never eat out again.

I eat at the Pinellas Plaza Location. The management is super, food is great and staff pays attention to their customers.

I also eat at the Pinellas location & altho I did not know about any problems with any of the Darryl's locations, I'll still eat there. Good food, good fast service. If there aren't any bugs mentioned in the report, it place scores high with me.

Well, I worked in a Pa. country club, for years. The health inspections there were a joke. I would bet that at least half of the restaurants in the U.S. would fail a complete and accurate health inspection. What you don't know won't hurt you!

It wont hurt you unless it does.

Food poisoning is rather unpleasant.

I sold food to restaurants and other institutions for 25 years. The violations that were named at Darrell‘s restaurant are relatively minor, and I assure you many of them can be found in just about any restaurant you go into. The people out here that are absolutely overreacting don’t have a clue. I’ve eaten at Darrell’s several times and found the restaurant to be clean and the food good. Also at a very reasonable price. My advice would be to ignore the people out here that just enjoy bashing.

Exactly! I sold food for 25 years to restaurants, country clubs and other institutions. None of them were perfect and in many of them you could find the types of violations that were levied against Darrell’s. There are many naïve people out here and those that just like to bash businesses when they can. We’ve already lost enough restaurants in the area.

We use a RTU (ready to use) sanitizer for our tables and food service areas. One of our servers made up some vinegar water in an empty bottle to clean windows with and did not properly change the label but was not using that for sanitation purposes.
The thing that they do not post is the very next day when the inspector returned it was graded 100% with Zero violations.

Exactly! These violations were minor and easily fixable. They also can be found in almost any restaurant in the villages. There are just so many people out here that wake up every day looking for something to bitch about. Pathetic!

Maybe the right people did not get the right envelope on time.

Exactly. Everyone goes haywire when they hear a place failed inspection. This is nothing. Worse goes on behind closed doors and you know nothing about it until someone tells you. If youre so worried, cook yourself

Everyone should work in a restaurant at some point in their lives. Might change a few folks prospectives. Restaurant work has to rank way up there as a challenge during these times. On a given day, one might be afraid to dine in the most reputable establishment. I will continue to support them for now.
