We were in Mt Dora a couple of days ago, looking for a place to have a light lunch. Downtown, on Donnelly, we noticed this "hole in the wall" place named "Let's do". They were advertising a half-sandwich & soup special for $6.45, so we decided to go in and try it. We told and showed the waitress what we wanted.. She explained that we were also entitled to a drink (tea or Arnold Palmer), and 2 sides. We never saw that waitress again; however, our soup, half sandwich, drinks, and sides were delivered quite quickly. Both of us chose the chicken salad sandwich, chowder, and Arnold Palmer, I chose the potato salad side, and my wife chose the coleslaw. We found all the food very good, and mentioned that we would recommend their place to our friends in The Villages. After we finished, the check didn't come for awhile, and so I got up & went to the cash register stand. The lady told my our tab was $22.15. I questioned that, wondering how two $6.45 orders could add up to $22.15. She told me we didn't order the $6.45 specials, we ordered something else. She showed me another menu listing lunch as $8.95, I think it was. Still didn't understand how it came to over $20; I think she said that the sides were extra. My error, I never did see a copy of our bill or our order. They seemed to be getting their info off a tablet screen or such. We had an appointment to get to, so I just left $25, told them we'd changed our mind about recommending them, and walked out. In retrospect, I should have asked to see an actual copy of our bill. I wanted to post this in order to alert anyone who happens to try this place for lunch: Their food is good, but make sure up front that you're on the "same page" with them about what you're ordering.

Lunched there 6-8 months and was far less than satisfied also. To top it off, on our visit food was served on paper plates with flimsy plastic utensils. Two blocks up the hill is Still Rocklin on Donnelly. Have had lunch there twice and will return.

I think the place you're referring to is Rockin' Cafe round 8th street on Donnelly. We've eaten breakfast and lunch there. Great burgers, very friendly staff and nice outdoor eating.

We didn't mind the paper & plastic because the food was good and we thought we were paying only 6.45 ea plus tax & tip. What we are dissatisfied about is their "bait & switch" tactic, whereby they insisted we owed almost 2x what we ordered.
