Default Sonny's Catering last night

I coordinated a neighborhood event of over 120 people last night and fed them a Pulled Pork dinner from Sonny's....... and the food experience was great; beyond my expectations!
  • Food was ready for pick-up on time,
  • Sonny's staff loaded us up with enthusium(saved a doller per person by picking food up)
  • Food was hot,
  • Food was GREAT....Pork, The beans****, Mac and cheese ....all fantastic,
  • Food was so plentiful...so much so we have a bunch of food to give to a soup kitchen!!
All in all Sonny's did a great job....all food, drinks, and Set-ups for less than $7.50 PP.

Catering coord. Luis from Sonny's handled the whole thing and DID IT RIGHT!!!

Oh, I'm so glad this is a positive post! It seems all the restaurant posts are all so negative and it is refreshing to hear something good!

Hurray for Sonny's. We'll remember them for the next party.

I agree K9, it's good to hear positives as well as negatives. We've been a fan of Sonny's even before they came to TV and always enjoyed the Bellevue site way back when. Their bread pudding is ALMOST as good as Mother's.

Years ago I asked my Mother for her recipe for bread pudding and she toldl me that I would have to follow her around the kitchen to see how she makes it because she didn't measure anything.....little bit of this 'n that. Never could duplicate it.

We have only been in TV since January, but Sonny's remains one of our favs. Coming from Mass, I not only find the food quite good, but the prices very fair.

I held my breath as I opened this thread. I'm so glad you posted your positive experience with Sonny's. We are BBQ addicts and we love Sonny's. I can't tell you the money we've saved in gas since they opened in LSL. We were usually driving to Belleview twice a week.

Hope you tried their sweet tea with your dinner. They have the best sweet tea ever!

So nice to hear that everything went great. I ate at Sonny in my LSV visit last year and it was excellent.

Great idea to give the leftovers to a soup kitchen.

Beans, beans, good for your heart, the more you eat.....

Hi Tpop1,

Thanks for spillin' the beans on this. Great idea for a neighborhood party. Kudos for giving the leftovers to the soup kitchen.

Where is a nearby soup kitchen?

My wife delivered all the leftovers, both packaged items like butter and sugar, etc, as well as the prepared foods; leftover pork, beans, mac & cheese; to the soup kitchen at the Presbyterian Church in Wildwood.

They were happy for the donations. We were worried about them taking prepared foods but they said no issue- they take all foods.
