Angry Tierra del sol

Went to Tierra del sol for pizza last night. Went to the tables in bar area, as you are not allowed to order pizza in the dining room, even though it was mostly empty.
Have had pizza there three other times in last 9 months - all were very good, not excellent, but very good. They have what I believe is a brick lined pizza oven.
Last night was a disaster. An hour after we ordered the waitress, who was also the barmaid, told us they burned our pizza, but have another ready in three minutes - never told her, so not her fault.
Pizza was uneatable for all three of us, and when we showed the waitress, she agreed and took it back to kitchen and off our bill.
I do not think they used the pizza oven to cook it in, or whoever was in kitchen, never made pizza before.
We can start going to Flippers next week, so that is not a problem, but I wonder if other people noticed the change in food, There was only one other table of people who were leaving when we arrived, so don't know what they ate.
Also music was extremely loud, even in bar area, don't know how the few people in dining room handled it.
When it changes owners again i wonder what there excuse will be for not making it?

My husband Sweetie, when something like this occurs just says that their A team isn't in the kitchen tonight. There seems to be some difficulty with people cooking for low pay hereabouts.

Have had dinner twice at Tierra with golf group of 12. Food acceptable-Music, unbearably loud. Could not talk to the person next to me because of music volumn. Must exceed OSHA and Fl regs for exposure of employees to noise. Asked Mngr to lower amp setting-answer:NO. Group has moved to another CC and won't return until problem rectified. Same problem at most places with live music and I know that many people also avoid these places.

Unfortunately they are still charging A team prices. Which is why I give all places one shot at good food or it is sayanora until my friends give me some great raves.

I've had my own disasters at TDS. One woman, who seems to be both waiter and bartender, seems to completely lose track of what she is doing. Last time the service was slower than slow, food wasn't what we ordered and poorly prepared at that. Lunch took 1:45 and we really never did get our correct order. Variations on this have happened 3-4 times over the past year. Sometimes it is marginal and sometimes terrible. We are famished after golf there occasionally and we think it just can't be that bad again. But.....

A business that fails to listen to it's customers has no future.

You can get a bad meal at any given time in most any restaurant. Thats just a fact of life. Sometimes its the food that "rains" on your dinner parade and other times its service. When it happens the first time "shame on them" the second or third time "shame on you".

Come on John........Buy a package of Oscar Meyer and throw it in the pan, 4 slices of bread in the toaster and a couple of squirts of Frenches mustard and you're good to go. No tipping needed.

GREAT places for pizza are Mallory CC, Giovanni's and Toscani's. Forget TDS. If they don't listen to the customers, they don't deserve customers. I've had my issues with them before and I won't be returning. Go let it fall apart, because it will when they refuse to LISTEN. The fat heads! = NO MORE!!!!

That's interesting. We go to Little Bits quite often for breakfast but never for lunch. BTW, they have a nice dinner there on Friday evening with pork loin and fish as well as the Chefs special. I usually order the pork loin and its very good with the stuffing, potatoes and veggies.
