A group of twenty had lunch in the back room. The temperature was a steady 62 degrees. Miserable.

Default That's not the ONLY reason some of us go out to eat!

Default Mesa Luna

Off topic but I stop at Mesa Luna once a week, sometimes just a cold one. Every time I stop by 5pm the place is full and stays till around 630. Never advertise. Pizza it’s the worst choice, dry and no flavor. Pasta is great.

Gio's is one of our favorites also.

That location would be interesting. Since Bingham Trail is 25 mph, that location could be golf cart accessible.

Temps were fine the 3-4 x we went with a group. The problem was always a group of some 20 people talking so others at the other end of the table could hear. Horrible accoustics

Amen!! Exactly what I was thinking when I read that comment. Hubby got to retire, why not me too? He doesn’t cook unless you count heating up food in a microwave, or making a sandwich. I don’t even enjoy cooking, which makes it even worse.

Ive noticed that most restaurants in TV can be quite loud. Not sure why this is?

Old folks tend to have poor hearing and compensate by talking louder.

There are things that can be done for this but seems like lots of restaurants will not make an investment to help accoustics.

This is why we dont there in a good size group. We would make sure we were sitting in main dining room

According to CHAT GPT, "As of April 5, 2025, there is no publicly available information indicating that Gio's Deli and Mercato in Oxford, Florida, is being sold. The deli, incorporated in 2016, continues to operate under the management of Giovanni and Julie Manco. Recent reviews from April 2024 reflect ongoing operations and customer satisfaction."

It appears there is no public records of a pending sale.

Gios owner has owned the property on Brigham for a few years. It is the parcel just north of the wall around the villages houses so very possible he is ready to build

Very true that many now have less hearing ability! I've had to lean in and say "what? what?" many times while dining here in TV. And my tablemates do the same. And the tables next to us. The sound then escalates. It's uncomfortable and I have a dear friend that won't even go with us to a local favorite country club because of it.

Smaller rooms, drapery, carpet all help with "absorbing sound". But that "cozy" style restaurant is difficult to find here in TV.

One possibility: reduce your stay to advance table turnover.

Not about to go to a restaurant and feel rushed due to noise. Will go elsewhere
