Default Gandolfo's-Update

December 17, 2011
Wow!!! Gandolfo's NY Deli is absolutely fantastic!!!
The sandwiches are huge with first class meats and fresh veggies.
I love The Dagwood Sandwich, but there are many, many choices.
I have to go there at least once a week.
The service is really friendly and fast.
Here is their website: Gandolfo's Deli® New York Delicatessen (Gandolfos) Sandwiches - Gandolfos Deli

UPDATE:March 28, 2012

There are a couple of updates I would like share. When I first went to Gandolfo's, the sandwiches were huge and really great. There was a lot of meat on the sandwiches and the price was not too high. I enjoyed each visit.

Now, three months later, I have gone back to the same location and there are some changes I have noticed. First, there has been a significant price increase for the sandwiches. This is not a criticism, as I know all restaurants have to make a profit to stay in business. Secondly, the amount of meat on the sandwiches does not seem to be quite the same as it was back in December of 2011. Of course, I could be wrong, but the last two trips there was a little disappointing to me. Again, I am not trying to be critical. The sandwiches are still really good, it's just the value of what you get for the increased price is just not as high, in my opinion.

I went there for lunch today, and sadly, I was the only person in the restaurant. As I was leaving, a couple of people were entering, so maybe I was there at a time when there was just a lull.

I went there yesterday also and was told by someone standing outside the restaurant that it had gone out of business. I sent a PM to the owner, Roger, who is on TOTV sometimes, but I have not had a response yet, Roger, if you're out there, please tell us it's Not true.

Only went there once. Just OK. We go to Crispers or Beef O'Bradys instead.

Never saw very many people in there except when they first opened.

We went to the Quiznos that was there before Gondolfo's a few times though before they had the fire at Quiznos which seemed to mark the end of that enterprize.

Gandolfos was a favorite of ours...thought the subs were excellent. Wonder what happened. Sorry to see them closed & judging by the inside appearance I'd say they are gone for good. Much of the display cases are gone as well as the cash register...does not look like a temporary closing

So sad to see the closing of Gondolfos... loved their sandwiches. I hope to see them re-open at another location where the rent isn't so outrageous.

I was a big fan initially. However, I noticed that several months ago they started relying on microwaves to heat up their sandwiches. Just didn't taste the same and I stopped going back. That was shortly after the management change.
