Default good place for beer?

I know that the World of Beer has not opened yet, but was wondering what would be a good place for a couple nice cold ones? Is there any place at Lake Sumter Landing that is reasonably priced or downright inexpensive?
Was thinking of meeting some friends in the late afternoon/early evening tomorrow and your suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks.

for a Cheers barlike atmosphere try GarVinos Wine bar....they have several botique beers available.

Try a Bourbon Barrel Stout if you like a very bold and tasty beer.

Sounds good. But is the cigar smoke in that bar area?

GarVinos is a non smoking establishment.

They do have a completely separate room a s a cigar lounge. Separate air conditioning as well as an ionizing air washer.

I can smell the aroma of cigar in the store. It's pleasant.

what I can sometimes detect is the aroma coming from the walk in humidor....which winds up being a very pleasont blend of all the fine tobaccos of the world combined.

Plenty of places in LSL. Fridays has Guinness on tap, and after that just walk across to Cody's for 2 for 1 yeunglings, some fried catfish fingers and free peanuts at the bar.

I would second the vote on Cody's. Two for one on ice cold draft beers and very tasty bar food.

Has anyone heard when The World of Beer will be open at Brownwood? Hoping it will be by mid-October when I return to The Villages.

Just passed by there on Thursday (Aug 1) and asked one of the workers. He said it should be open in one month. So it should be open by the time you get down.

City Fire in Brownwood has oatmeal stout for like $2.50, it's an excellent deal.
