Default Best Subs in town

Where are the best subs in town? Prefer being able to get there by cart.

Depends... what part of town? If you are up near Spanish Springs try Jersey Mikes.

The SuperWalmart Subway is good. It is on CR466 and you can get there by cart. This is also a Subway in Lake Sumter Landing which is also a good deal and has tasty sandwiches. http://www.subway.com/storelocator/d...aspx?zip=32162 Looks like there a number of other Subways in the Villages, too.

I love Publix hot subs. Didn't know Sweetbay did. Do you think they still will when they change over?

Since Jersey Mikes opened last fall we've gone there at least once a week. I haven't had a Subway sub or Publix Sub since then, can't even think of any other sub other than Jersey Mikes.

I've known good subs for a very long time. In the summer of 1969 I worked on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland at my cousins sub shop, "Billy's Famous Subs". He opened the first sub shop in OC in 1963 and retired in 2000. He sold thousands of subs, really great subs, and that's where I learned to make subs.

O.K. John. I trust you. What is YOUR favorite sub? We will try them tonight or tomorrow.

We went to Jersey Mike's [U][I]once[U][I] and were not suitably inpressed. I guess we should give them another chance, but really see no need to go anywhere other than Publix. Publis has the best subs we have had since moving to TV. Have to admit though that Firehouse runs a pretty close second.

Sorry, but after spending most of our working years on the upper east coast, I would first state what kind of sub your looking for. Never take a steak and cheese recommendation from anyone more than 30 miles of the Atlantic Ocean. If all you want is a Hoagie, a grocery store may be OK, but if you want a true SUB, you can go with a Philly Cheese steak, or go for the MAKE YOU FAINT, Italian Steak & Cheese with steak fries like you can find in a family run Italian Restaurante.

Default Is the Lady Lake Jersey Mike's accessible by golf cart?

Jersey Mike's Subs - Authentic Sub Sandwiches since 1956

I am not sure which side of US 441/27 this is on from the map. Can you go there via golf cart?
