Default Francesco's Italian Bistro has Groupon special

This is the new restaurant located where Taverna Red was.

Dinner for 2 includes a bottle of wine, appetizer, two entrees and two cheesecakes for $40, good through April. Same thing for four people is $80.

Here is a link to the special.

If you are not a groupon member, use this link to join. It is part of their member referral program.

The groupon ad refers to Francesco's in Leesburg. Do you think it would apply to the new location? I have gone by there a few times and it doesn't appear that they are open yet.

Oops, you are right. It is for the restaurant in the Leesburg Location. The new location in Summerfield is actually a different restaurant with a very similar name. Sorry for the confusion.

I believe it is open. Friends have eaten there and have given it rave reviews.

Groupon is a site that makes deals with merchants to offer their members special deals on goods and services. You can find some excellent bargains, but have to be careful about impulse buying.

For goods, you pay Groupon for an item, plus and tax and shipping costs. The order is usually fulfilled by the merchant, arrives in a Groupon branded box, and usually takes a little longer to ship. So, don't buy something you need immediately. I have items take up to two weeks, but the prices are usually worth it.

For services, you pay Groupon and get a voucher, either printed or on your Groupon phone app, and present it to the merchant to redeem.

As in all special deals, you have to know the value of the item you are ordering to know if the price that is offered is really a good deal.

One of the things I recently purchased is a refurbished Garmin GPS with lifetime map updates for $70. That is just a little more than the price of updating your current Garmin. Most of you with GPS system know, keeping up with new streets south of 466A is a challenge. Sent the old one to my kids in Oregon.

Here is a link to sign up.

Not only was I confused about which restaurant this Groupon was for, the Leesburg restaurant closed before I got around to using it. Fortunately, I got an email from Groupon about the closure, and a link to get a refund of my purchase. Wasn't a problem.
