Default Great time at Hacienda Hills CC

I asked my wife where she would like to go for dinner tonight. She suggested Mallory Hill Club and I looked in the paper for their ad. I first came across the ad for Hacienda Hills CC and suggested we go there. We did.

It is a beautiful restaurant both in the quality of food and in the architecture.

I had the unlimited fish and chips. It was truly fresh fish that was not heavily breaded and was lightly fried. Delicious is the only word to describe it.

Mrs. Buggy had the grilled chicken over salad greens and liked it a lot.

Service was right there when we wanted something but was not intrusive.

One of The Villages singing duos was performing. They are the LaCroix.

Happy Hour until 6 pm.

The general question seems to be: Did you talk to the manager? I spoke with the owner and told him of the excellent dining experience. He thanked me for the compliments.

I recommend everyone try Hacienda Hills CC. Their special nights are Friday (unlimited fish and chips), Saturday (lobster tail and prime rib), Sunday (brunch from 8 until 1), and Tuesday (German food).

I thought Orange Blosom was the one that had the Crab Legs on Thursdays? Does Hacienda also?

I have a question about the entertainment. How loud was the music? On my last experience with Hacienda Hills dining, the music was too very, very loud. My wife and I had to leave, it was so loud. The room is very iintimate and not acoustically designed.

Brian Webster is the head chef at HH and he is AMAZING. I had the pleasure of working with Brian several years ago so I am very familiar with Brian's talents in the kitchen. In my opinion , Brian & the wait staff have put HH on the map.

We were there Derby night also. Many women wore Derby hats. It was great fun! The Music Mixx was wonderful for listening and dancing. And we had excellent food and service.

Al is the owner. He just signed a long extension on the lease.

We love the food and environment there, but the dining room has the acoustics of a an empty factory, and when the excellent musicians perform, the terrible acoustics turn it into overbearing sound pollution. It's really an insult to the musicians and what they can do in a decent acoustic situation.

Somebody has to convince the owners that they have to do some acoustic remedies in there. It's beautiful, but the noise is often unbearable. The staff knows this too (I pity them having to yell and lean in to be able to hear their patrons for hours at a time), but nobody in management seems to care.

I cannot imagine being in there with a hearing aid and all that noise.
