Steak & Shake recently switched to tallow for there french frying. I like their shoestring fries. I couldn't tell the difference in taste after the switch.

I will admit I eat less meat in my older age. Why? I don’t eat as much as I use too due to I feel full with less, maybe my taste has changed over years, maybe the price of meat IMO totally out of control and I won’t buy much anymore? Either way I am eating less and now under 175 pounds for 5 foot 11 and 3/4 inches. I also lost about 1” of height in my older age. No I don’t slump around…

How difficult is it to add a bean dish or offer chickpeas on a salad as an option. CBV can be a step in the right direction but I always feel I’m still paying for whatever meat they are leaving out. Transparency on the menu would be nice for the “pia “ customers who like to know what they’re getting and paying for especially when eating out is so expensive. Maybe just go for the social aspect and have water….. |

A vegetarian diet can be unhealthy for sure. For example; grilled cheese on white bread with potato chips. However, a plant based diet is healthful and many meat eaters want to increase their non-meat meals to include more vegetarian items......the healthful ones.

I also reject food that tries to taste "just like" meat. A vegetarian never has to eat fake bacon, fake chicken, fake meatloaf - "tofurkey" - when there are lots of protein options that don't require fake anything. Vegans are much more limited, as they won't eat real butter, cheese or eggs, or even honey for that matter. I would never choose to be vegan. It's not natural and in my opinion it's also not sustainable without supplementation (vitamin B12, D, iron, calcium, iodine, for starters). A meatless dietary choice, on the other hand, has available every nutrient needed to sustain a human's omnivorous digestive system. |

Zero interest in veganism. Lived with people who went that route. I can't stand to even look at tofu because of it. It's just nasty stuff. Tastes weird, has the consistency of bloated cork, and in order to be even somewhat palatable, has to be so horribly overseasoned that a plain slab of unseasoned burger meat on a plate with a slice of cheese on top would be more healthful than that. Kimchi is nasty too but I also don't like sauerkraut.

Love potato salad, cole slaw and always put that burger on a bun. And I know that you know the difference between having vegetable side dish and a vegetarian diet, so be honest.
