Default Spanish Springs evening

Mrs. Buggy and I golf carted to Spanish Springs this evening around 5:30 just to enjoy a beautiful Villages evening.

An "entertainer" named DJ Denny Rogers was at the square and basically was a dud for the entertainment factor. He just played music tracks and did not have any banter with the crowd (very small crowd) like Scooter the DJ has in his show.

We decided to sit over at Luigino's and have a couple of drinks. Emmie, the outdoor bartender, is very attentive and friendly. The beer and wine was cold and we had a table by the sidewalk so "people watching" was more fun than being on the square with DJ Denny. I love to see the golf carts go by and especially those with dogs in them!

We enjoyed a delicious sausage pizza from Luigino's along with our second drink and had a leisurely cart ride back home. We commented to each other how much more enjoyable this evening was rather than to be working and driving in rush hour traffic (in rain - the DC area today) and how The Villages is the perfect place to live.

This is what we like about TV, too. There's always something going on in the evenings in the beautiful weather we have here. Most towns/cities don't even have a dud of a DJ playing with stores open every evening. They have none, in fact.

We've used him several times at some of our parties. He offers music and karaoke at a cheap price. I think he's had some serious health issues. God bless him.

Ahhhh, I love it! Your glass is full! (Not even half full). There are other posters who would have complained how bad the entertainment was..why doesn't the Villages get better entertainment?. Their beer would not have been cold enough and the price was too high. Oh, and there were golf carts with DOGS in them. Lol. Yes indeed, TV is a wonderful, perfect place to live. Thank you for reminding everyone that it's the little things.

How right you are!!!

Was in that traffic tonite @ approx 5:30pm!!! It took an extra 2 hrs to go the distance from Fredericksburg to Baltimore with and without the rain!

But now home again in NJ after a long drive and appreciating that I enjoyed many lovely Villages evenings this past "season" and will again come next "season"! In the mean time I can just about make out in the dark that our flowering cherry trees are flowering - can't wait to see them in the morning!

Gearing up for a perfect spring and summer at the Jersey Shore - it's a good life no matter where we are!
