I'll eat ketchup whenever on whatever I want. I'm not one to worry about what people eat, but I was fascinated once in a lunch place in Indiana. The waitress brought the man four slices of white bread stacked on a plate, and some butter. He buttered the top piece completely, then picked up the glass sugar pourer pottle and proceeded to pour sugar all over he buttered bread, folded it and ate it. Then did that three more times. This is delicious!! I first had this as a teen at a little fish & chips restaurant back int CT. French fries are good no matter what, to me anyway. Plain no seasoning at all, with salt, with lots of ketchup, with mayo and as you said malt vinegar, which goes great combined with ketchup.
