Default Kumo Shushi and Hibachi in Lake Deaton Plaza

I just saw that a restaurant has opened in Lake Deaton Plaza called Kumo Sushi and Hibachi. Has anyone tried it and, if so, what did you think?

We have been several times since we live in St Cats. Probably the best sushi in the villages. The big turn off for me is the smell of bleach as you enter. We often go when they just open. I mean, its great that they are cleaning, but they really need to air the room out! Once your food arrives, you no longer notice it, but I find it off putting as I am sitting waiting.

Don't go there it's too crowded and I can't get a table. Wife had hibachi and I had steak teriyaki. We shared a sushi roll. It was all very good and we had enough leftover to make another meal or in my case a midnight snack.

Love sushi and looking forward to trying it out. Don’t care if it’s crowded because I’m a take out guy for sushi. Kind of off the beaten path for me, but am going to give it a shot next time I’m at the Rohan sports pool swimming laps. Wondering if anyone can give a comparison of the Sushi relative to Sakura, which is my favorite in the Villages.

Better than Sakura imo.

I've never been to this restaurant, but in general most Japanese restaurants are pricier than others.

We have tried it once for dinner. Would go back, but probably for lunch next time. Yes, a bit pricey but not horrible

The salad seemed to be just the bagged salad from the grocery store, but we enjoyed the hibachi steak & scallops.

At that time they didn’t have their liquor license but I understand that they have beer & wine now

We went there yesterday for late lunch. It was good, but we like Sakura better. We like the atmosphere better at Sakura too. We will stick with Sakura.

Have dined at both, prefer Sakura. Sakura sushi is always excellent. Kumo was okay, but I just liked the freshness and flavors better at Sakura. I think the service is better at Sakura, both are close to each other, I will probably not go back to Kumo since Sakura is close by.

When it opened ate there several times. Sushi is excellent. Nice staff. But it’s been crowded so ordered to take out. Probably will continue to do so as season peaks.

We've gone twice and it was good both times, didn't have an issue getting a seat and we were there at lunchtime. I had the teriyaki salmon both times and thought it was reasonably priced at $13.99. I got a big piece of salmon, rice, and vegetables.
