[Schaumburger]

Arrived in TV yesterday late morning. Restaurant reviews so far:

Lunch yesterday at Lighthouse Point Bar & Grill: Excellent shrimp on flatbread with a soy type sauce. Would definitely go back again. A+ service

Dinner yesterday at Red Sauce: Very good bruschetta appetizer -- enough for 4 people. Enjoyed the gnocci (spelling?) but may be a little heavy for July. One of the bartenders I chatted with has a sister living in the same Chicago suburb as I live in, small world. Would definitely return.

Dinner today at Thai Ruby. Excellent tilapia with a curry sauce. Not spicy at all. Would definitely go back.

So far so good on the restaurant front...

Kathie, Thank youj for the kind invitation. I may be having dinner with my friend's sister who bought in Caroline last year (she's the reason I found out about TV). If that doesn't pan out, what time do you all meet at Red Sauce?

Red Sauce has a buffet special at 6pm on Friday nights for $20 incl drinks (not sure what kind) and then at 9pm starts karaoke and dancing outside. We'll be there prob around 7:30 but we'll be there until closing. Look for us on the dance floor!!!! Hope to see you there.

Oh, and did I forget to mention, that,,, if you can't make it Friday night, we'll be at Gator's on Saturday night from 9 to 11:30 and at the Waterfront Hotel on Sunday from 5 to 8. Now there are no excuses... I've given you the plans for the next few days. Bring your family, they will love it.!!!!

Kathie, You guys like to party hardy! Up north my cat keeps me on a short leash. He would never let me out of the house 3 nights in a row unless it would be to stop at Petsmart for Fancy Feast.

Schaumburger..Thank you so much for the restaurant reviews and your golf cart experience. I'm looking forward to more reviews so I can be prepared when I come down in Aug for 3 weeks. My kids will be with me 1 weeks and then I will hopefully be golfing for the otter two weeks. Looking forward to meeting TOTVers and hearing more about TV.

Your restaurant choices were good ones. At Ruby Thai, I really enjoy the Ruby Thai Tilapia, too. I ask for it "medium spicy" which gives a little more zing to it.

Mornin' Schaumburger, I wasn't suggesting to come out all 3 nights,,, but just to give you a clue as to where you can meet fellow totv'ers on one night,,, its a pick and choose selection.. LOL.... My job, as mayor, is to try to arrange meet and greets for newbies on totv. Hope to see you or any other newbies this weekend....

carm310, I am going back to Chicago on Thursday, 7/14 . I'm hoping to rent again sometime in October, exact dates not sure -- depending on when one of my nieces is confirmed in her church.

Being that we are so close to one another in our waiting for TV lives...we should try to connect sometime while at home in Chicago!
