Default Cheesecake - need best nearby

Hubby birthday tomorrow. I want to know where to buy a slice or whole cheesecake. Grocery, restaurants, specialty shop, where are your favorites?

I like Toojay's.

Darn it. Now I am thinking about cheesecake, first thing in the morning....and matzo ball soup......and corned beef on rye.....And it is not even 8:00 AM yet. I wonder when Toojay's opens.......Maybe if I go to the pool first......and jump around a lot.......

Anyway, hope you find the perfect cheesecake for your birthday guy. For Mr. Boomer, I am always on a quest for the perfect Boston Cream Pie.

You have so many suggestions here, and cheesecake lasts for a little while if covered in the refrigerator so........

Maybe go around and get one piece of each and make a little score sheet with numbers or stars, like for a wine-tasting, and let him decide. You could have maybe 5 things to rate, like texture, flavor, sweetness (too much/too little/just right) -- can't think of any others......well, maybe quality of ingredients, crust......Is that enough?

Could be fun and then you would know the answer for future reference....or he might never want to see cheesecake again.

Oh dear, all the OP did was ask for the time and here I am building a clock.

And of course the results of the taste tests would have to be posted. Just think of the comments and discussion those might generate.
