the gourmet club list is so outdated, if you want to read reviews from 05 is great for that!

I find them pretty up-to-date. Looking back through older reviews you can see if a restaurant is improving or about ready to go out of business. The sorry history of the Havana Club was evident in the many bad reviews over the years. There's 4 reviews for Square 1 Burgers already and they've only been open a few weeks. There's 13 reviews for Eaton's Beach and they opened just a few months ago. Take a look at the reviews for The Waterfront Inn. See why only hotel guests eat there. Most club members said they won't go back.

I'd rather read reviews from people I know and respect than some anonymous nationwide website that keeps posting reviews on restaurants that closed months ago, or patrons claiming they found a fly in their soup or ranting ones from the competition down the street. They're not credible.

To answer the OP, on The Villages Gourmet Club's website you can easily find all the new restaurants, all the restaurants here that honor the Buffalo Discount Card, give discounts to AARP members and even offer coupons on sites like restaurant.com (which isn't always reliable).

Wonderful local resource.

Just my 2¢.

Denny's gives 10% with a AAA card. Perkins has a 10% military discount. Many restaurants have an online club and give you discounts during the year plus special discounts on your birthday. If you join these online clubs, sign your spouse up also and you get the freebee on both birthdays.

Just go to your favorite restaurant sites and there will be a link to sign up.

Buffalo discount card can be obtained from the high school office... I believe it's ten dollars and gives discounts at several dozen local establishments including subway, city fire, Cody's and I hop... Expires end of July... Not sure when the new one comes out
