The only place I can think of that might make it for you, would be Fresh Market. They have an extensive butcher shop and can probably make anything for you. I'd call in advance and ask. They are very good butchers.

We have been to MezzaLuna twice now. Very good food, nice atmosphere and service was good. No complaints. We would definitely go again! Also, great cosmos!

Publix sells the thin sirloin strips to make it. If it is not in the case, just ask at the meat counter to make you some. It is a very easy recipe to make and don't forget the string to tie them with.

I also buy pork braciale already made when I go down to Palm Harbor. There is an Italian pork store. I understand there is an Italian pork store in Ocala, but I do not know where. I am sure one of the TOTV members would know.

Ever heard of leftovers?
By the time we have salad and bread we are almost full. We each brought home half an entree and got 2 more meals each out of it.
Either buy the entree or pay a split plate charge.
Your choice.
Seems fair.

I'll add that we recently went there as a group of 5 couples, with 5 separate checks, and we were not even sitting together as couples...you know women at one end of the table and men at the other. All our orders were correct as were the checks. The food was fine, not the best Italian but good. My husband and I did share a meal and we were informed of the $8.00 split plate charge which was fine. However, you each get your own bowl of soup, or salad, with that split so given that a bowl of soup is probably $4.00, it was really more like a $4.00 charge. I will say that this is the only restaurant I have encountered recently that does charge, but it all worked out and a good time was had by all.

The store in Palm Harbor is "Felice's Pork Store" and it is located on Hwy 19. Excellent products...

Bon Appetit!
Just a heads up, Vic's had a severe fire 12/27/2013, and is (at last report) closed. Vic said it will take probably five or six months to reopen.
