Just thought I would pass this on in case anyone is interested.

Many of you have enjoyed visits to Mimis Cafe and shown interest in having one here in The Villages. I talked to the hostess at the one in Winter Garden and she indicated that many customer have also indicated that they ought to build one in TV. She said that the store manger advised her to tell people (like us) to go the their website and tell them why they should build one here.

We whole-heartedly agree, so here is their website: mimiscafe.com

Here are a few things that you might note in your comments:

1) Closest current units are 45 mins. to 1 hour away and most people will not drive an hour for food when we currently have 100 local eating establishments within 10 minutes.

2) ALL of the other major chains (OLive Garden, Ruby Tuesdays, TGI Friday, Bonefish Grille, Carrabas, Red Lobster, Dennys, Perkins, as well as the fast food contingent of Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, etc) are here already and are loaded with customers constantly. Seasonal effect seem to be minimal, since logistically we have 88K people within 120 sq. mile area. That does not include the surrounding areas of Leesburg, Wildwood, Bellview, Oxford & Lady Lake.

3) The Villages population is an above average income group which means that the average couple eats out 3-5 times per week.

4) The Villages is truly a "golf cart" community (approximately 45,000 carts) and the residents prefer to travel in their golf to do all of their daily activities and that includes eating meals.

5) There are over 40 golf courses in The Villages and since there are 9,000 tee time per day (each tee time equals 2-4 people), you find MANY golfers looking for anything from a light snack to lunch or dinner after playing a round of golf.
