We should be back in the northern section of The Villages next week. I haven’t read anything recently about what’s happening at the old Cody’s. Has there been any renovation activity there?

As reported in Daily Sun, The Back Porch will be opening soon. Check updates in Local News section. Opening springtime.

Also reported by Villages Gourmet Club.

Original location is in Longwood: The Back Porch Longwood - Eat Well, Live Happy!

That’s good news. Before we left in mid October I walked by there often and other than some drywall that was replaced about 6 months ago, there was no renovation work going on. Renovation must be substantially complete since they are hiring.

Plenty of empty commercial building/lots all over the villages.

Drove by there tuesday morning after breakfast before golf. Lots of work happening inside. Looking forward to having another venue up in that area. Hope it works out.
