Probably thinking of Cane Garden but I haven't been as thrilled with them lately as I used to be.

Brought our visiting family to Glenview to try their famous $5 burgers. disappointed to say the least. Steak n' Shake has a better burger, and they give ya fries! But the best by far is Arnold Palmer Country Club.

I've had very good burgers at Evans Prairie. I"ve also had very good burgers at Johnny Rockets. And at OShucks.

I like the portabella mushroom burger at Mallory. I order it medium well with swiss cheese and mayo on the side. Hubby likes a side of their great onion rings.

It's Glenview. Ask anyone who plays softball. Many, Many players and their families will stop at Glenview for a burger after their game. They're $5 with chips or instead you can have with fries for a $1 more. Best burger and bun around.

I use to love Steak N Shake, been eating them all my life since I was in high school. They were a drive-in back in the 60's and in St. Petersburg that was our hangout. I've grown tired of SnS, a little too dry and the bun is nothing fancy. They do have great milk shakes and if you go in the afternoon during happy hour they are half price.

Don't go to the pool grill at Lopez. I made that mistake once. The burger was $9 and was half the size of the Glenview burger.
