Thumbs up New BBQ place SO Good!

We stopped at a new BBQ trailer

It is next to Lighthouse Seafood Market, 8780 East CR 466 The Villages. We had great Smoked pulled pork sandwich. The sauce was thin and spicy sweet. Great cole slaw and beans. They also have smoked ribs. But were sold out! We will be back early this week to try them out. They will open again at 11:00 a.m. Sat.

Doesn't sound like it's a restaurant. From OP's post, I'd guess it is more of a food truck.

Looks good though. It sounds like it is close to where one of our prolific posters lives.

We stopped there today but it was closed. It is a very, very small trailer next to the Lighthouse Seafood Market. You can't miss it. There is no name/sign on the trailer but there was a note on the window that said they would open on Saturday at 11:00. There was also a phone number. I called and spoke with Matt who said that he and his wife, who live locally, are trying this out. Initially, the menu is limited to pulled pork, pork ribs, beans and cole slaw. Matt is from St. Louis, Mo, (a BBQ mecca). We placed an order which we will pick up on Saturday. Can't wait to try it out.

His name is Matt not Jack as I originally wrote. (We had been discussing Jack Stack BBQ in St. Louis)

What is the phone number, probably best to preorder if it is that small.

It would be great to find above average pork ribs around here. Looking forward to a review. Forget Sonny's or Oakwood.

Oakwood is the best around here, but only average in Chicago, St Louis, Dallas, or Memphis. Never tried them in KC but hear they're excellent also.

Had some BBQ in Houston and remember that it was quite good.

The name of the truck is "Bucket List BBQ". There's no large sign on it just a little chalkboard near the highway. They just opened and are so delightful and enthusiastic. They're only open on Sat. I think possibly Sunday if there's anything left. They quit when they run out. Opens at 11am. It was convenient right there on 466 next to the Lighthouse Seafood. The pulled pork was very good but there's where the tang is, not in the sauce. If you like a little zing, you will love it!

A number of people have mentioned that they don't care for Oakwood or prefer other places over Oakwood. But I don't think anyone has voiced a reason for the preference? Why, oh why, posters?
