RICE & BEANS BBQ located at 16580 S. Hwy 475, Summerfield, 352-347-7*** opened recently. We visited today for the first time. It's a new building, nicely decorated, very clean, very friendly staff. More IMPORTANT: food was DELICIOUS!!!! Besides their normal menu they have a daily special. Today it was a bowl of seafood soup accompanied with a plate of yellow rice and beef stew. We also had beef empanadas which were truly delicious. They're homemade so you have to wait for them to fry the empanadas but its well worth the wait.
Dessert choices today were flan or rice pudding. We had one of each and both were very good. Rice pudding portion is enough for two people.

We will definitely go back there.

Its a straight drive on 475 and on the way there you see several beautiful horse farms.

We ate there a while back and really enjoyed it, too. I hope people will make the drive up there because I can't imagine how spur of the moment/drive by business is going to keep them in business. Have to wonder why that location??
