Default NOT a snob !

Forgive me for the title of this thread!
Moved down to Ft. Lauderdale area 7 years ago. Out of roughly 20-25 "pizza" places (most of which say NY style) I have finally found 1 that is good - by my taste obviously.

Are there ANY good pizza places in TV ?

No.

The good ones are back in everyone's home town.

Obviously, the best are in Cincinnati.

Pizza is a highly personal taste, I have found.

I am so homesick for La Rosa's.

A good pizza makes the moon hit your eye, your tummy say howdy and your feet feel like a sock hop.

Default I am a snob

Definitely, it is to one's choice. Recently I had pizza at the so called "world famous" pizza in Napoli. Antica Pizzeria de Michele has only two types of pizza, margherita(tomato sauce and mozzarella) and marinara(tomato sauce, oregano and garlic, no cheese). It was so crowded so I had to try. I did and was so disappointed. I like thin, crispy pizza. I don't like thick Chicago style pizza. Pizza in Napoli was thin but like a huge soft Mexican taco. I even thought Domino's thin crust vegetarian pizza was more delicious. I also like small white pizza. So who's to judge.

Joe's Italian Village but its 1,100 miles from TV. I love pizza, unfortunately it no longer loves me. I ate my first pizza pie in 1957. Frankly, I'm not too particular----most pizza from anyplace is pretty good.

Best pizza at this point is the one I "dress" up. I buy the basic pie in store with sauce and cheese on it. Then I get my add-ons. This one is a meatless style.
Extra sauce
Extra mozzarela
artichokes
black olives
roasted red peppers
onion
green pepper
sliced thin fresh tomatoes
oregano
olive oil
quietly add anchovies on one side
Then start putting it together. Put the pie on a sprinkling of corn meal or flour to help to crisp the bottom.
Starting to drool. Gotta go.......

If you're originally from New York (as we are - Queens) the answer is NO!
