WOW this thread is going taking the same path as 'best pizza' (not that I want to start something).

I have bowled on Friday's at SS lanes and always enjoyed their Friday FF. Recently (6 months ago) I tried fish n chips at Bonifay and have been back twice form more!

Looking forward to trying O'shea's tho'

I highly recommend Hacienda Hills CC on Friday nights. The fish is fresh and hand battered. It is NOT something just frozen and dumped in the fryer. The breading is lightly done and the taste of the fish is great. All you can eat for $10.99.

Stumpknockers is a drive of about 45 minutes and is like a bit of Old Florida. Good fried catfish! The catfish platter is $9.99 (I think) and the all you can eat is $2 more. The catfish platter had a huge amount on it.

I think O'Shea's Sports Pub on Hwy 44 has the best fish & chips. Lightly breaded and the best fries around.

Let me suggest that before you respond posters identify what part of the country they were raised. As to this thread if your from New England then you are never going to be satisified. and if your from Maine there is not a lobster within 1700 square miles that will please you from the prospective of quality or price.

My suggestion...before you go for fish lower your expectations

Tierra De Sol's Friday night special is fantastic and you can choose 'all you can eat' fish fried or broiled; slaw; fries; soup or salad; and dessert - creme puff (to die for!!!) $10.50 and suggest reservations.

By far best fish and chips for us is Gator Joes! Many like the heavy batter on fried fish but I prefer a very light batter!

Another vote for Bonifay Country Club for Fish and Chips, ask for the malt vinegar and enjoy.

Glad I read this, I am from the Chesapeake Bay area in Virginia. Guess I will have to load my cooler up with fresh fish and bring it on the drive down when I come for good in July. I am very spoiled when it comes to seafood!!!

I went to TDS on Friday night. Had the fish and chips which was the same fish in the AUCE special. I ordered the smaller version (the fish and chips one) and it was more than enough. Very good. A light batter and the haddock was fresh. I saw the AUCE platters they were bringing out. Huge, you could spend all night on that dish.

I'll head back there again.
