Right now they will be officially opening Sept 22. That's the targeted date. They will be doing some other things for a few days before that.

Talked to Christa @ the Sumter Cody's yesterday. She'll be the manager of the Brown wood one. Grand opening is 9/18.

The grand opening is not the 18th. It's the 22nd. as of right now. They are doing something on the 18th., but not the grand opening. They are having a few nights for some groups and VIP's before the grand opening on the 22nd.

Disregarding who is right about the grand opening date, we always wait at least two or three weeks before visiting any newly opened restaurant. Just gives them a little time to get the bugs worked out & everything operating smoothly. I've never understood why so many rush, rush to any eating establishment as soon as it opens. These early visits rarely turn out good.

Soft opening starting mid September, grand opening the 22nd. Was just at the one at Lake Sumter yesterday and asked (I can't remember if he said the date was the 12th or 14th though!).

Fully understand where you are coming from. However, for us the Grand Opening is an opportunity to support another new establishment to our community. We are aware of potential opening day mix ups but will overlook those to support the new owners and employees. It's exciting!

The outside bar area will be smoking. There may be a table area outside where there won't be smoking.
