Default Old El Santiago Club

Just took a ride and noticed the El Santiago Club is being revamped. Does anyone know what will be going into this building next???

Equipment. They're making it a storage garage.

What a shame, I loved our little neighborhood restaurant.

I agree, I loved El Santiago, so casual and informal. What a shame.

I agree, what a shame. Loved to stop by and have an ice cold beer after playing nine in the hot summer sun.

Question

I can't understand how if this is a "resident owned" facility why residents/owners had no say in the building's use. Wasn't this building part of the package that was sold to residents at a greatly inflated price? Isn't this taxation without representation?

Nope, the developer owns all the commercial locations including this one. He can make it a restaurant or make it a porn shop. It's his property.

Only the pools and rec, centers were sold to the central districts.

I don't have a problem with what he does with it. But others have lamented about good memories there over the years. Me too. I always wanted that upside-down Christmas tree that was there from Day 1.

Is your house only a building or is it your home...A place for friends and family to come and visit, where memories are made...That is the way these people feel about there Santiago Club and restaraunt...
