For the past 5 years Palmer's restaurant had been our favorite of the Villages country club restaurants because of service and food quality/selections. Not anymore. Since reopening to inside dining management has allowed new/young female wait staff to choose whether or not to wear masks (duh?) and most have chosen not to. Despite that on several prior occasions the food was great as usual and service fair. Ate there 3 days ago for dinner about 4pm (early to avoid any crowding) in dining room. Requested a server with a mask. Service was terrible, slow and condescending. Drinks and food (when they finally came) were same excellent quality. But will not go back unless/until management chooses to better train new wait staff (mostly very young ladies who hang out at the check in desk and goof off) and they are serious about distancing and wearing masks. We are STILL in a pandemic with this virus.
