I know. There's no proof the onions were from France. I bet they weren't imported.

It’s called gouging.Checking prices on the plantation there is a captive audience here. We make our own and I doubt they use Gruyère cheese

Never trust the French.
We in the UK have had problems with them for centuries.
Mind you, they do a very good croissant!

According to their online menu, the soup is made with Gruyere cheese, and the listed price for a bowl is $15.
