For a long time now when my golf group plays Palmer, we go to Sumter for lunch and payouts...Palmer too expensive for not so good food compared to other CC with comparable menu. We never understood why they think they are better than other CC.

Was the price of the soup on the menu? You really didn't have to order it if it was more than you wished to pay. Right?

Did you not check the price before ordering? If you knew it was $18, would you have ordered it anyway?

You knew the price it is printed on the menu before you ordered it, so if it is ridiculous why order it. Oh I know so you can complain how expensive it was.

The online menu price is $15, not $18.

I've discovered online menus are not always up to date.

Many of us who were fortunate enough to have a great career and were able to retire to The Villages are willing to be a bit generous to wait staff and etc. Others, not so much.

So I get the $18 for French onion soup because I am sure that’s how they prepare it. (holding a Sheldon sign)

I love french onion soup. But even at $15, no way I order that. $10 would be high for it.

The price is on the menu. Nobody made you order it. Thank the administration for the inflation.
