Default Mt Dora. 2012 Pisces Rising and the Lost Parrot.

Anyone been to Pisces Rising this year? This is a restaurant in Mt. Dora which was built from an old house. http://www.piscesrisingdining.com/Welcome.html

Had heard some poor reviews in prior years. We went there a few years ago and it was good.

We went to the Lost Parrot in Mt. Dora yesterday instead of Pisces Rising just to try somewhere new there.

Good service as well as food at the Lost Parrot especially if you like places to eat that look like they belong in Key West.

Have any recommendations about other places to eat in Mt. Dora???

The Goblin Market (352) 735-0059 is quaint, and the food is delicious. We love sitting outside in the back garden.

Default Another vote for ...

Goblin's Market. Had a wonderful lunch there about 3 weeks ago and will definitely go back. Great service as well.

Goblin Market is one of favorite off property restaurants. Love a nice evening sitting in the garden with friends enjoying dinner.

Here’s a little gem. Try the Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Lakeside Inn at a table on the veranda overlooking Lake Dora. Otherwise you can do either breakfast or lunch any other day.

I really like the Lost Parrot (more for the Keys like ambiance than the food, which is "Ok"). I lived in the keys for a while and it really reminds me of some of my old haunts.

My wife and I both like the Goblin Market. It took us a while to find it, but once we did, we were impressed.

My wife's favorite in Mt. Dora is the Garden Gate Teahouse. Nice atmosphere, but I am not a big fan of their "light" menu (last time I was there I had a sandwich with asparagus and melted cheese and while very good, I was ready to go out to lunch after dining there.

I wonder if the Garden Gate Teahouse is the place that the husbands avoid while the wives frequent as discussed by some shoppers we overheard in Mt. Dora yesterday. It seems the husband said it was just too foo-foo for him.

I have no doubt it is the same place. Seems like a wonderful place for the ladies to do lunch. Next time I'll pack a sandwich.
