Default Perkins on 466

Went past Perkins and the parking lot only had a few cars about 5:30 last night. All the other restaurants on 466 were packed.
Past experience tells us when the parking lot is almost empty the food/service is terrible. I hope that is not the case. Has any one been there recently and what was their experience?

Seems like a poor way to judge a restaurant.

I would agree with you except for one thing. The poster said "I hope that is not the case. Has any one been there recently and what was their experience?" By adding this statement he/she was resisting the impulse to make a snap judgement on the place and seeking the opinions of others first.

There are a group of us that eat there at least once a month. It's not my favorite restaurant, but the service has always been good and the food okay. I have seen it have the occasional slow times, but it seems to always pick up and get crowded. Hopefully, not a worry and just one of those bumps.

We went there last weekend and had hamburgers. The food and service was very good.

At least were we come from, Perkins is mostly a breakfast & brunch type place even though they do offer dinner meals.
We have eaten breakfast there several times and it is always good, except the coffee could be stronger, but just us!

There aren't any Perkins within 100 miles of us here in MI so we do stop in while visiting our Villages home. We have found the food to be pretty consistent and the service is ok. It isn't usually crowded during lunch or later. However it does seem to get some business on Sunday mornings after church where you find folks gather. Just an observation..

We were there last night. We arrived around 5:30 P.M, by 6:30 it was full and they were using the overflow room. Food not bad, remember for $7.95 meals you get $7.95 meals.

All of our neighbors (10 of us) on our cul-de-sac went there last week for dinner (spur of the moment & we didn't want to have to wait in line anywhere). I think most ordered off the breakfast menu, I thought it was good. The service was good and the place was pretty full.
