Smile Pizza

Where have you eaten the best pizza either in or near The Villages.

The wife and I like the pizza - and the Italian food - at Belleview Pizza. They're located on Highway 441 in Belleview (about a 25 minute ride from our home in Duval). They're open six days a week, don't accept credit cards, and make a pretty good pizza (think or thin crust)!

We like both but believe Belleview's is just a tad better (maybe the long lines out in front are a deciding factor)

If Belleview House of Pizza is just a tad better than Little Joey's then it cannot be very good . . . the souce at Lttle Joey's is not even as good as what you get out of a jar a Publics.

We've been to Little Joey's a few time while in TV and although we didn't have pizza, my wife and I found their food to be very good. Having said that, I can't imagine being as bad as has been implied. I guess we'll just have to have pizza the next time we have the opportunity to go there and judge for ourselves! Or should I ask Chef Ramsey to go and check it out instead?

I agree with goongoozler regarding the sauce at Little Joey's. I've eaten there more than once and each time I didn't care for the sauce...I think my wife's sauce (a nice Irish gal) is better than Little Joey's. Never had the pizza though.

Regarding Belleview Pizza...I'm from NY and the pizza at Belleview is the closest to NY pizza that I've had.

I agree that Belleview pizza is good.

One thing that surprises me tho' is no one has mentioned NAPLES in Leesburg.

I've had their pizza a few times and I think it ranks right there with Belleview.

Looking for others opinions.

AND to tell you the truth . . I'm kinda partial to HOME RUN PIZZA from the frozen food section at Publix. - Made in Chicago. Taste is great! Only thing is - it's still a frozen crust.

Default monticellos pizza

Monticellos pizza in brooksville exit 301 heading south on I-75 about a half hour from The Villages has Excellent Pizza. Simple drive that is well worth it!

We ate at Naples 3 times and I don't remember popcorn being one of the toppings?

Seriously, we did eat there three time, but never chose pizza. That's probably because we've been able to get pizza delivered the last two year and another 26 year at our previous home in Clifton Park, NY. So when we go out to eat we rarely want to get pizza since we have gotten it regularly at home. Might be more willing to get it around TV eventually.

At the same time I have to say that I got the gnocchi two of the three times at Naples. It's what I'm used to getting from one of the pizza places that deliver where I currently live, and it's pretty much like the homemade that my mother used to make.

They also had gnocchi at Giovanni's where friends took us. I ordered it and by far it was the worse gnocchi that I ever had! I wouldn't rule out going there again since I don't know how the rest of their food is, but I won't be having gnocchi again!

Hubby actually orders pizza once a year (Valentine's Day) from Bocce Club Pizza in Buffalo, NY (Fed Ex overnight !) The rest of the year we go to Belleview Pizza.

Thumbs up Naples

Ate at Naples this evening...didn't have the pizza - went for the lasagna and the wife had baked ziti...both were pretty good...also enrolled in their rewards point club...we'll be going back to taste other menu items...thanks for the recommendation.
