Zero interest in a loaded hot-dog.

I just checked - a hotdog with chili, American cheese, and onions at Portillo's is $5.49. It's steamed, and the bun has poppy seeds on it, which I'd have to scrape off because they get stuck under my dental bridge. And American cheese with chili? That's - pretty gross. So yeah I'll stick with my grilled dog with chili and cheddar cheese and onion and no seeds that's closer to home.

We visited the one in Claremont last week and were underwhelmed. It wasn't worth the ride.

I don’t get it. It’s fast food, with menu items from $3-16. It not a sit down venue. If one isn’t happy with most fast food, this venue may not be for you.

I grew up with Portillos, and they were fantastic. They were also a great catering option for informal parties and bbqs. I haven’t had their food since old man Portillo sold it a few years ago. I heard the quality isn’t quite the same since they went national, but we are still excited to try this new location when the hype dies down.

Anyone remember when Portillos had a food truck down at Edna’s? The line was about a block long and they ran out of food early in the day. The other trucks had virtually no business.

Do you really think changing food intake at late stages of life will increase lifespan?

If one has alway enjoyed moderation of foods, occasionally fast food isn’t going to kill you.

We rarely eat processed food, but those who only grew up with processed anything, its still their choice.

SPLASH PAD ??? How many seniors did anyone see today splashing ?? I'm seeing a lot of the villages NOT a 55+ community anymore. Seem to be catering to families with kids.

FLAME SUIT INSTALLED !!

I know this has been stated many, many times already....

Middleton is NOT PART OF THE VILLAGES. Middleton is a family community. Middleton is designed for families with kids and has family-friendly amenities such as a splash pad.

Middleton is close to the Villages. Middleton has MMPs that connect to the Villages MMPs. Middleton has not yet installed a checkpoint to keep the crotchety old people out.

Therefore, when one travels far enough down the MMPs of the 55+ community called The Villages one will find oneself on the MMPs of the family-friendly community of Middleton where one will find a splash pad.

It was built in Middleton, a Villages family neighborhood.
Yes, it is catering to families with kids.
The high school and elementary school are within walking distance.
They will do just fine in the location.

Unbelievable that there are those who do not know that Middleton is not part of the 55+ community.

It’s even worse that someone who has been on TOTV since 2010, probably lives or passes family villages, and can’t remember that children live there.

Was in the northern part of TV few weeks ago, near one of the family neighborhoods. While pumping gas the cart behind me was driven by a teen, with 2 young girls wearing seatbelts.
Some old guy started screaming, at them because they didn’t belong in a golf cart, and get out of the way.
I was almost done pumping gas, but left my car and told the young man I would wait to move my car until he finished getting gas. Young man thanked me, completed his fuel, moved cart to acquire promised snacks.

That’s an example of a resident who is extremely unhappy no matter the surroundings, you hope they didn’t have their own children or grandchildren because sometimes those who dislike children can be violent
