Red Sauce has the best pizza. Eggplant is good, too.

I am going to disagree with you on the mussels at RedSauce being very good. I have had them and they are very mediocre, in my opinion. They are not bad but certainly I would not say very good.

The best mussels, in my opinion, are the mussels at Bonefish. They are always wonderful. Huge portion for $9.90 and they are cooked with white wine, garlic, and tomato. The mussels are very large ones from Canada and are plump and tasty.

No, my mother never invited them over when I was growing up. Heard they were always good to have around when needed.

If you never tried Angelo's on Rt 441 out toward Mt. Dora... it's worth the ride.

Heard man good comments on Angelo's. Can anyone recommend any particularly good entrees?

I ate at Red Sauce today with 2 dear friends. We had a wonderful time. Service was impeccable and the food was superb!! My friend ordered the Lobster ravioli and gulped it down like he was starving. I was still working on my salad. Gosh! But it was his birthday so we forgave him!!

I hadn't been there for about 2 years and was thrilled when they suggested it. I ordered the Wedge salad (YUM), fried calamari (Carraba's is better- but it was still very good) and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was fantastic!! It was 10" but was $12. Kinda pricey but boy oh boy was it good.

Can't wait to go back. Maybe I will order 2 pizzas.

Now wait a minute! Are you telling me YOU ate the wedge, fried calimari AND a 10" pizza? What an appetite!

I know- a lot right? Ate 1/2 the salad and shared the calamari (brought the leftovers home) and brought the pizza home also (minus one slice). 30 yrs ago I could have probably polished it all off but not now.

hehehehe

From S. Central PA but raised in the Scranton WilkesBarre area. Love the pizza from there and the Red Sauce was cooked for hours to give a rich flavor hard to find in the Villages, I was weened on Grotto Pizza (not as good as it once was) and long for that NY style with sweet sauce. Haven't found a good pasta sauce that makes me want to go back to. I'll eat almost anything (hence my size) but love sitting down with friends over a big bowl of pasta, great sauce, red wine, salad and lots of crusty bread with butter good clean conversation and much laughter, Manga! Once we get settled for good, would love company on a thursday evening for dinner..
