I must have missed this topic. Where and when is Red Lobster opening?

I always enjoyed sitting on the outside deck at Up the Creek and looking at the water. Peaceful. I generally find restaurants very noisy. The deck was one of the few quiet spots to eat in TV.

Nooooooooo! Hush! Don't say that!
I have my RJ Gator frequent Diner card! No bad rumors! Shhhhhh.

GracieGirl, give it a try. They have a salad with grilled scallops on top that's just deeeelish, and you can sit on the deck by the water with TWO glasses of wine in front of you! I took a picture because that's illegal in Utah. Nobody here would believe it without a picture! LOL
I thought the service was fine. It's mostly local kids, and they're very nice when you talk to them.

I hope it's not true also Judy. I like both of those restaurants very much.

right on UUJUDY,
I have also had that scallop salad and it is GREAT.

Their NE clam chowder is very good
as well as the mini burgers they have on the appetizer menu
There's also a 3 shrimp dish that is good

Can't imagine why'd they close unless the corporation is doing poorly as I think they have as much business as any restaurant in the summer and come the snowbird season things should improve greatly.

This is not true. I believe that both facilities are having trouble with staff/staff shortages. The last 2 months have been very hard for restaurants with all the prices going up and this being the "slow" season.

It will be in Buffalo Ridge and should open late 2008 or early 2009. An Olive Garden is coming also.

I sure wish you all would stop saying everything is closing. Who do you hear these rumors from, or are you making them up ?

Default Closings

We don't make them up. We read the signs on the doors that say "CLOSED".

We ate at Up The Creek last night. I'm happy to say they were doing a good business. We, also, had lunch a couple days ago at RJ Gators. They were doing a so-so business. Certainly not packed, but far from empty. I'm hoping that both establishments will be fine. Snow birds are starting to trickle back in. That should help.

Up the Creek is my favorite restaurant in TV. Gators is okay. I think Up the Creek's menu is different enough to stand up against Red Lobster. Red Lobster has increased their prices and decreased their portions the last time I was there. They do have the best biscuits though. I usually fill up on them and could care less about my entree when it arrives. My bad!

As far as R.J. Gators closing is concerned, that is fiction. I am employed there and know that this R.J. Gators is privately owned. Not only is it not closing, they are making plans to serve breakfast on or about October 15th. Please check newspaper for new ad coming out.
